Carp DM

Carp DM

Project overview

Carp DM is a text-based online multiplayer social deduction game specifically created as an entry for the GJL Game Parade 2020 game jam. We created this game in less than 7 days with a small team. With our award-winning entry, you play as carp fish who must deduce who, amongst the team, is the catfish, by engaging in group conversation. A topic is picked for each round. Every player is looking to find the catfish. By trying to ascertain who knows about the topic, players can use text-based conversation to deduce who's "in-the-know" and who isn't.

I was the UI/UX designer for this, focusing on communicating the game visually with support from the Project Lead and the Artist who created the brilliant illustrations of the fish.
